Q. regarding kb3067

Post by hbilke »

Ave collegae!

Data from a local repo "1" should be moved to a repo "2" that already is utilised for backing up data following kb3067.

Q1: Is it possible?
Q2: Will the past restore points be selectable after moving the data?
Q3: Should the backup jobs be disabled?

Q1: Yes, it is possible IF the data you are moving is not the same. Meaning, you are moving data from a job to a (for him) new repository. I hope that makes sense
Q2: Yes
Q3: Yes also

Hi Mike,

follow up to Q1:
The job(s) that created the backup for/in repo "1" do not exist any longer. The new backup is set up similar (exclusions et al.) on new jobs.

So I can start - me thinx :-)

Short follow up:
I would use the script
http://www.github.com/nielsengelen
http://www.github.com/VeeamHub

The backup is divided into

teams
exchange
onedrive

source and target repo selection no problem
then there is a type to select: user, group and organisation - no selection possible at object level.
is any of the three types to be selected?
