Every sales demo call I have with a customer for Veeam Backup for Office 365 prospective customers ask about RBAC features. This is the moment that I dread, because this is not a strength of the VBO product.
Any chance that a future release or update will introduce some basic Active Directory permissions features? Something where the administrator can grant certain AD domain users permission to restore, backup an O365 object? I have not encountered a situation where AD was not being used by the customer, and that seems to be the directory service that they all gravitate to for this purpose.
