Redundancy in backup jobs

If I create a job for Groups, another job for Sites, and another job for Teams, does it back up a Team's sharepoint site 3 times if I'm using the same repository? Or is it smart enough to see that it is already backed up and up to date?

With the same repository, the same source object will only be downloaded and stored once.
