Restore for Sharepoint files without extensions fails

Post by vladimir_g »

Does anybody know if restoring SharePoint files without extensions is supported? When we try it with current version 5.0.1.179 of Veeam Backup for O365 Console application, it produces "Could not find a part of the path" error

Hi @vladimir_g

First: Welcome ot the forums
As far as I know that should not be a limitation, but it might be a blockage of something. Can you create a support call for this? The error itself could still mean lots of things.

Please post the support case ID here, and the followup after investigation of the engineers

Thanks
Mike

We ended up troubleshooting through this issue with Dan from Veeam Support and confirmed that this issue happens for empty Sharepoint Notebook files. If one adds any text to a Sharepoint notebook that is getting backed up, it stop producing this error. The issue was escalated to the development team as a bug
