Restore from an existing object storage repository added newly to VBO
Hello guys,
I just searched around how to restore data from an existing repository that was added to VBO. The repository is available and in sync as well. The repository was just added for restore purposes.
For that reason, there is no backup job that targets that repository. The backup jobs for that organization target other repositories. If I right-click on the corresponding organization I wonder why the restore points aren't available.
I assume that I understand this https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo36 ... tml?ver=70 correctly when I expect that all restore points that are available in all repositories related to that organization will be available for restore. Any idea, what can be the reason for that?
Thank you,
Christian

Hi Chris
Your expectation is correct.
Restore points on object storage repository must be visible when you the original M365 organization is added to the console.
I can only recommend to open a case with our customer support. Please provide me with the case number.
Best,
Fabian

Hey guys,
I would like to let you know how the issue was solved.
It was about to create a backup job that just backs up one user, run it, wait for completion.
Afterwards, all restore points were available.
Thanks,
Christian

Hello Christian
Thanks for the feedback and solution. I'm glad that you could access the backups again.
It sounds strange that this temporary backup job was required. I will talk to the team if this is by design.
Best,
Fabian
