Sharepoint and One Drive errors on Backup

For the last 5 days we have had an issue with our backup reporting the following issue on multiple sharepoint sites and One Drive accounts.

The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a send.. Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

Our backup proxy is held on another server, there doesn't seem to be any connectivity issues with the server. API permissions have been checked and they are fine. There have been no firewall or infrastructure changes in this time.

If anyone can assist or have had this issue before, any help will be greatly appreciated.

We have had a ticket open since Friday but support have no ideas what the issue could be?

The source of this issue is hard to tell. Support should be able to assist you with insight via logs on bottlenecks and what could be the cause. How is your VBO infrastructure sized in terms of CPU/memory & the amount of proxies/repositories?
