Snapshot-based retention

HI,
I have a question regarding Veeam M365 retention.
I wanted to understand how Snapshot-structured retention works.
Let's imagine that I want to backup the mailboxes in the exchange and give it a 7-day Snapshot-based retention.
Inside the mailbox I backup there are 7 messages.
I backup for 7 days and therefore I have 7 restore points that contain all 7 emails.
At this point the Retention is being applied and therefore the oldest backup is deleted.
This mailboxes will no longer receive any messages and there will always be the usual 7 messages.
My question is will these messages still be backed up after 2 months?

As it is an incremntal backup and snaphsot based backup backs up the state of the mailbox so the origanal 7 emails will stay on the storage as long as the user is a part of the backup job
