Update 5b: Resolved issuse with retention policy

Hi,

would it be possible that we get some further information reading this resolved issue:

Under certain conditions retention policy mistakenly cleans actual Exchange backup data from Jet-based repositories set with snapshot-based retention of less than 2 years. This issue applies to Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office versions 3.0 – 4c. (https://www.veeam.com/kb4092)

Under which conditions does this issue occur and is there any way to check if the installation/repository is affected?
Shall we proactively check all VBO environments?

We are in full investigation at this moment to find the exact conditions. And we will release more information hopefully before the end of this weekend. But the conditions seem to be very specific before it happens.

And yes, I would certainly give a quick run through the environments to check.

We will also sent out a communication early next week.
