When I'm trying to perform SharePoint restoration I can see some of the items failed to restore and the error message was "Cannot connect to Microsoft 365". Also when I'm trying to perform another restore, it shows "The remote server returned an error (403)".
I know that when backing up data from O365 it will be throttled but how about restoration? I do not have any additional backup applications added to the VBO at this moment, and I'm planning to add more backup applications but just wondering if this will help in restoration as well?

Hi Markus,
Restores can be affected by throttling as well as backups, but additional applications (or accounts) will not help in this case - they're used only during backup.
On top of that, I wouldn't recommend you auxiliary applications for backup, because since recently it contradicts the updated Microsoft policies. We are not deprecating this option yet, but it may happen in the future.

Hmm so if restoration are being affected as well then what would be the resolution for this kind of issue? Because the restoration that I'm trying to do is for a huge number of files in one of our sharepoint site.

Is that normal to take about 2~3 days for 40000 SharePoint items restoration?
