VBO to migrate data to O365 cloud

Hi,

My collegues have been having an issue migrating some big home directories to Onedrive. Those have many files and some rather big.

I have been asked if we could use VBO to restore this data OneDrive. As far as I can see, VBO can only ingest data from O365 and then restore that data to O365.

But is there by any chance some way to seed the data from on-prem to VBO? We would then be interested in trying to use VBO to restore that data to the OneDrive of those users.

Hi Jóhannes,

You can back up on-prem SharePoint with VBO, but the restore options will still be limited to the original site collection (or an alias within it). Restoring sites/OneDrive from on-prem to the cloud is currently not supported.
