[v3 BETA] VBO365 - 3.0.0.248 - "Failed to process OneDrive
I am testing the latest beta version of O365 backup.
The backup fails for many targets with the following error:
«Failed to process OneDrive: Lastname, Firstname (https://companyname-my.sharepoint.com/p ... ny-name_no). The attempted operation is prohibited because it exceeds the list view threshold enforced by the administrator.”
It seems to be only for Onedrive. Mailboxes and Sharepoint sites seems to backup up OK.
O365 backup with version 2 finishes OK (but very slow) and does not give errors like I see in version 3.
Has anyone seen this problem in version 3 yet?
(BTW; The backup speed has improved a LOT from version 2!)

Hi ericcarlen and welcome to the community
First, thank you for your "BTW" comment - it's really important for us now to get feedback on SharePoint backup speed testing!
Second, this looks as a known issue already reported for the beta version and fixed for the release build. It relates to the SharePoint list settings. But to ensure we're on the same page with this - do you see such errors on incremental or full jobs?

I see the error on both the incremental and the full backup job.
I will look into SP list settings and see if there is something there to adjust.
Will there be a new beta build release containing this fix before the release build goes to market?

We don't plan to provide any fixes for the beta build, as all the dev's team efforts are currently focused on getting everything done for the GA (hope for your understanding).
Could you please collect logs in the extended mode and send them to me via PM? It'd be best to have them checked by our QC team and ensure we're not missing anything.
Thanks!

No problem, I understand.
I just started a new backup job now, I'll look for the logs when job is done.

Hey ericcarlen, it's not really a work around, but just a little additional info. This basically means that the OneDrive's which are generating those errors have more that 5,000 items in them (files + folders).
I was getting this with my own OneDrive (as part of our testing we tried a few HUGE items, and then 1,000s of tiny items), and found that the jobs runs properly when I get my item count down to 4,999.
Fingers crossed for a fix!

Windos;
Thanks for the information, we also have users with a large amount of items in their Onedrives.
I guess Veeam will have this bug covered in the release build.

I also see this error for a few users:
"Failed to process site: Lastname, Firstname (). The CancellationTokenSource has been disposed."
Reason unknown yet, I do'nt have the time at the moment to dig into it.

Eric,
One you have the time to dig into it, can you PM me with a cloud location of the logs (dropbox, onedrive... ) so I can let them review for that specific error?
Thanks
Mike
