VBO365 firewall rules
Dear all,
has anyone already figured out a minimum port/URL firewall forwarding rule list?
In the VBO user guide, I can only see generic requirements like forwarding port 443 to "Microsoft Exchange Online"...
According to lists like https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/micros ... -worldwide this would require quite a bunch of rules
Are all these URLs required? Looks more like the requirements to connect O365 clients to the service.
Any input is greatly appreciated
Regards,
Timo

Hi Timo,
We list indeed the ports in our userguide. However, if you are going to use also URLs in your firewalls for restrictions, then you need indeed all those items on the mentioned list. VBO itself is also some sort of "client"

Re: VBO365 firewall rules
Hi Mike,
thanks for your fast reply. But even if port forwarding is done, I would need to list target systems.
But after having a look at Microsofts list, I completely understand why you would not like to include this list in a statical user guide.
Maybe it makes sense to refer to Microsofts Documentation?
Well then... I thought Cloud-Services are supposed to be easy
Most likely only if you leave security out.

Hey Timo,
Yeah, it is a lot of URL's... But it also makes sense right... The closer you can connect to the datacenter of O365, the better, no matter at what part of the world you are

[MERGED] Backup off Office 365 via proxy
Hi
We would like to set up backup inhouse of Office 365 via proxy. Does someone have the adresses we need to whitelist to get the result we need? I've seen this list of url's and ports :
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/micros ... -worldwide
but do we really have to whitelist and maintain all of this?

@Bjornulf I merged your post with the existing topic. We still need all those URL's to be whitelisted.
