VBO365 - Unable to update
Hey,
Over on the community hub there’ve been multiple reports of certificate issues when trying to patch VBO365, even from a brand new Azure VM.
Anyone aware of certificate validation issues at the moment? Thought I’d cross post this to here for more eyes.

Re: VBO365 - Unable to update
Hi,
I've raised a support case (though it's only an NFR I'm using) as I've seen this in my lab too, using version 5.0.2.42 on Windows Server 2019.
Support case ID: Case #05303228
I've checked the Veeam.Archiver.Shell logs and got the below:

Re: VBO365 - Unable to update
Going to add more notes to the case but I've discovered the signing certificate expired on the 17th February for this MSI, so I'm assuming this is the culprit.

Re: VBO365 - Unable to update
Hi,
I was not aware of this issue before, but it turns out that it's already known by our RnD and will be addressed with the next release/update.
Michael, you're right. The MSI installer certificate that was used for version 5d (5.0.3.1033) has expired on Feb 17th. Now, to upgrade to this version, please download directly from veeam.com.
My apologies for this inconvenience to all of you.

Hi Polina,
Thanks for the swift response! To confirm this will be another patch for v5 and not the release of v6? Any timescales? (Age old question I know!)

Re: VBO365 - Unable to update
v6 is just around the corner, but to meet the needs of those who are not ready for major upgrades, we'll either deliver a patch or an updated 5d build.

Re: VBO365 - Unable to update
Yep, link is certainly dead now. Searched for the KB in the KB search and no results.
In essence the link discussed that the certificate had expired and the latest v5 patch is signed with a new certificate so it’s fine.

Or install VB365 V6.0 which will be mandatory soon to backup the Teams messages
V5 is already in the End of Fix phase.
