I have the community edition of Veeam Backup for Office 365.
I thought that I could use it to backup my org. I cant. It does not work, and
I get warnings like "cannot find license for 2 users"
I have a small organization, with just two users and two mail boxes, and one
connection set up for One Drive for Business. Share point is not really in use, but has
minimal configuration.
The veeam product does not connect to my domain, i.e mydomain.com, it connects to mydomain.onmicrosoft.com.
And it use on of my One Drive for Business folders as a mail box! I have two users and two email addresses: user1@mydomain.com, and user2@mydomain.com, both users have the "Office 365 Business Premium" license.
How can I get this to work? I am not using multifactor log in - just the username and password.
Also, is there any way to configure a repository on a Synology DS418 NAS - yes it has smb3 capability. I have it configured for that.
and I am using Windows 10 Pro. So far I have seen NO WAY to use this device. The windows o/s has no trouble connecting to the Synology, mapping a drive, sharing a folder, etc - but the Veeam program will not connect to the share.
I am just a basic user, with basic settings - this should work
any suggestions will help.

This should work fine normally. I have run VBO on Windows 10 as well without issues. You can add your organization with the legacy authentication (username and password) and afterwards make backup jobs. If you only have 2 accounts, you shouldn’t get the warning. Is this the first time you are using it? Or did you try it before? As you receive 10 users with the CE.

This is the first time I tried to use it - it flat will not connect to the synology.
