Veeam License Issue
Hi,
One of our customer purchased Veeam backup for O365 for 600 users in December 2020 with expire date December 2021 and after some time they purchased 200 users additional licenses in October 2021 with expire date October 2021. Now the problem is when they updated the licenses in Veeam backup for O365 console, total no. of users is 700 but support expire date is December 2021. Can anyone please clarify if this is an error or known issue and how it works ?
Thanks in advance

Re: Veeam License Issue
The support date expiration is to expect.
The earliest date of a combined licensed will be used as the end date in the software.
But I find it strange, that a 600 + 200 license get you 700 licensed users. That should be 800.

Hi,
Thanks for the prompt response.
That was a typo, total no. of users are 800.
But what about the support of additional 200 users. Will their support also expire on December 2021 or it will get expire on October 2022.
Thanks in Advance

Re: Veeam License Issue
I would say, it will stop working after the grace period (1 months). But I am not 100% sure. Never had this case.
You need to extend the 600er license.
If the 600er license is needed, get a quote to co-term both licenses to the same expiration date.
If the customer doesn't need the 600er license, remove the license from the vbo365 installation and only install the 200er license. If you decide to do that, you need to exclude this 600 Users from all backup jobs and then you need to wait 31 days, before the licenses are not in use anymore.
