Veeam Team,
Can surebackup be leveraged for office 365 Exchange backups? I dont think it can be "directly" done but is there a work around?

I am not sure what you are trying to achieve? If you have a VM running the VBO service, then you can backup that VM with B&R and on that VM you can use SureBackup. We even have a role defined for it when you select the VM in your application group.
If you are thinking about VBO itself, then surebackup won't work (makes no sense to me either but please tell me differently
) but you could easily test with the Veeam Explorer and (for example) restore some mails to MSG or PST or something to see if the restore process works
