Veeam VBO calculator - incorrect results

Hi,

Veeam has a introduced a VBO calculator, https://calculator.veeam.com/vbo/ which replaces https://vbocal.azurewebsites.net/ .

I'm sorry to say, but the current state of the calculator is pretty much useless for us.

Some issues we are seeing:
- Backup Sizing / Total database size in GB should be MB.
- Backup Sizing / Total primary mailbox size is incorrect, usually much lower then actuelly used (messured with PS). We tested various tenants and we take Archive mailbox into account.
- Backup Sizing / Weekly change rate should be adjustable. If a customer just migrated to O365 those numbers do not reflect the customers real change rate and makes the calculation summary useless.

Would like to have those those fixed asap because the previous calculator is already taken offline.

Thanks for your feedback and below my response:

1. The new VBO calculator presenting the database size on GB only if you can provide more examples of why you think it should be presented the size as MB, then this will help me adjust the options on one of the future releases.
2. Please check again soon, this issue related to API size converting to GB and we are working on the fix.
3. The only way to adjust the change rate with the "Connect to O365" calculator is by using the cost analysis option or using the manual calculator.

Thank you for the prompt reply, much appreciated.

1. Total database size, GB: / The number displayed looks to be MB in stead of GB. I see this has now been fixed.
2. This has not been resolved. For instance, I have a tenant with 950GB on total sum of used mailbox size without Archive, determined with PowerShell, and it's the same amount that VBO actually backs up. In the Veeam VBO calculator this same tenant total Exhange online used is displayed at 474GB. So this calculation is not correct.
3. Ok, we can mix the online and offline stats.

Regarding, #2. mmm, the total size presented on the calculator is retrieved by the MS Graph API, let me check and back to you on this one asap.

Perhaps you are not calculating Shared and Room mailboxes?

The API call is retrieving the mailbox storage total size, so should be the accurate size. I will keep investigating and update asap.
