Wasabi repository not available

Post by Tib »

Hello everyone,
I am using VBO365 on a windows 10 proxy, i have one organization and 12 Office365 accounts, and 12 licenses for VBO.

My first repository is a lun on a local NAS, seen as a local drive by the proxy, and the backup is working pretty well.
Then i have succesfuly created a second repository on Wasabi, but when i am doing a new backup task i don't see this repository...
Obviously i am missing something. :)

Did you just add it under the object storage tab? You will also need to make a regular repository and extend this with the wasabi storage. For more information, please check the user guide on backup repositories.

I can see the wasabi repository in the "object storage repositories" tab and the repository on my NAS (lun) in "backup repositories", is it what you call a "regular" repository?
What do you mean by "extend this with the wasabi storage" ?

You will have to create a backup repository which you extend to your wasabi storage. You can follow these 5 steps as described in the user guide, you will be able to benefit from the Wasabi storage within backup jobs.

You will have to select the 'standard' backup repository for this (like you have the NAS one).

Well, this wizzard is rather simple and i don't see a lot of options , so i have tried every single option for the same result, nothing new...

You need to go under “Backup Repositories” and create a new one. This will provide you a step to extend the repository with the wasabi storage. As I mentioned in my previous post, this is listed in 5 steps in the user guide with screenshots.

Thank you very much for trying to help me but we just don't understand each other.
Under backup repositories this is object repositories so i am guessing that you are asking me to make a new object repository???
But i don't see anywhere, anyway, any option to extend the repository with wasabi storage and their is no way i could have missed that as i have tried everything so many times and you don't have alot of options..
Or my VOB is broken. ;) After all this is the free version only upgraded by adding 12 licenses.

You need to click on backup repositories, not object storage repositories. The same place where you have configured the NAS storage.

Hereby is a screenshot which shows the "Add backup repository" wizard and the screen to add the specific Object Storage (in your case Wasabi).

No problem, maybe my wording could have been better there. Happy to help. If you have any other questions, just let us know.
