Will VBO365 backup these archived sites
a) automatically when all sites are selected ?
b) not be backed up at all?
Thanks!

Re: Will archived SharePoint Site be backed up?
Hi Sascha
It's too early to say.
For protection and restore we need to have access to the M365 archive storage through official public API's.
We already have planned to research this topic and see if it works with Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
Best,
Fabian

Re: Will archived SharePoint Site be backed up?
Hi Fabian,
We are currently seeing lots of failures in SharePoint for sites that are included in the backup but are archived, so we know the behaviour now.
If there is a way to change the alert form warning to informational or exclude them from the backup automatically?
Thanks!
Matt

Re: Will archived SharePoint Site be backed up?
Hi Matt,
You will need to exclude them manually - VB365 cannot automatically identify archived sites in advance. It tries to access all sites included in jobs and notifies if access fails for any reason.
Warning/error messages are hardcoded and their type cannot be changed.
Thanks!
