Hi,
I have some Azure VMs with big managed disks that are currently deallocated and to be decommissioned.
When I create a policy, it requires to enable schedule retention for daily/weekly/monthly to allow me enable yearly retention.
I just want to do one time full backup only.
Is there any settings to perform adhoc full backup of VM and store on Azure storage for some years?
TIA

Re: Adhoc backup for VM
Not, it's not possible.
Veeam Backup for Azure doesn't have a feature like "Quick Backup". You must create the policy and configure the retention to then run the backup.

Re: Adhoc backup for VM
To add to Wesley's point, you can configure a backup policy with a daily schedule, then offload the required backup to another storage via a backup copy job using Veeam B&R and keep it for archival purposes. Hope it helps!
