Hey guys,
in the last couple of weeks, I noticed that customers running in a hybrid infrastructure scenario ask for a backup copy of Azure file share backups created by Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure.
Maybe there are other guys who noticed this.
Thank you,
Christian

Re: [FR] Backup copy for Azure Fileshares
Hi Christian,
If you want a copy of Azure Files backup to be stored somewhere else, then you need to use Veeam B&R that allows to create a backup of these files and then send it to another location. As far as I remember, Azure Files snapshots are useless when the original share is gone (due to the architecture from MSFT). If Azure Files were deleted completely, you need to go to the storage account (recycle bin aka the "soft delete" option), restore the share and only then you can use snapshots.
Thanks!
