I am testing Veeam backup for Azure, to backup old Windows 2003 and Windows 2000 servers that we are running in Azure.
Snapshot backups are working fine, but backups to a Backup Repository on Azure Blob storage are pretty slow. Backup of a server with 1.2 TB storage even stops after 15 hours copying at 1.0 TB.
I want to test if it is possible to use premium Blob storage to improve the speed. However I found that only standard storage accounts are presented in the interface when I want to add a new Backup Repository?
Does anyone know how to add premium storage?

Re: Backup Repository: Premium storage account not supported?
I found that the biggest limit is the size of the ‘worker’ and not the storage account type. I changed the worker size from Standard_A1_v2 (recommended) to Standard_F4s_v2.
The backup time of the 1 TB disk is now reduced from 28.5 hours to 1.75 hour. Also tested a restore and all worked fine
