DR/Replica from onprem to Azure
Hi everyone, I'm not sure I'm in the right section because I don't need to backup (or rather replicate) machines in azure, but to azure! I know that it is possible to backup an onpremise machine (vsphere) and then do a restore on Azure (direct restore to Azure) ... but what if I want to do a replica / dr? I remember some time ago I saw a demo of a dr using cloud connect (located on Azure) and a nested hyperv ... Is there something like this?

Re: DR/Replica from onprem to Azure
Hi,
There is no direct replication from VMware/Hyper-V to the Azure layer at the moment (including conversion etc). I guess using the nested setup could be an option but we can't really tell how the performance of this will be. Microsoft has an article about this available for more information. Another option is to use VMware on Azure (see our KB for more information.
