Hi all
Case # 05707292
I understand we currently have a limitation with Veeam backup for Azure where the appliance backed up workloads that have encrypted disks cannot be restored to a different azure region due to the original key vault not replicable without a full DR failover. However, when working with ASR within azure our engineers script the selection of a different key vault that contains the correct key set to process the encrypted disks so VMs with encrypted disks can be pushed to a new region under normal DR testing conditions.
Would it be possible to add in an option as part of the restore wizard to select a particular key vault when attempting to restore a vm to a region that is not where it was backed up from?
Many thanks
JDF

Re: Feature Request relating to restore to new region
Hi Jason,
We'll look into this request for a future release. Sounds like it shouldn't be too hard to implement but we'll need to verify it through some research.
Thanks!
