Hi,
we are running VBO 3.0 on a Windows Server 2016 VM. The JET database is placed on a volume which is added to the VM as a vRDM. The vRDM belongs to a storage device that is now going to be replaced by a newer one. I'm wondering what would be the best way to move the VBO data from the volume to the new storage device.
Should I just stop the JET database and robocopy all data from the current volume to a new vRDM on the new storage device? IIRC we can also perform vRDM to VMDK migrations with Storage vMotion but I don't think it's possible to perform a migration from one vRDM to another one so using robocopy would usually the way I'd go.
Thanks
Michael

Re: Best way to move VBO database to another volume
Perfect, so stopping the services and copying the data to the new volume seems indeed the way to go here. Thank you.
