Office 365 Mailbox failing with errors

Hi There,

using Office 365 backup i am having an issue with 2 out of the organisations currently backed up mailboxes, the error i am getting is;

Processing mailbox sharedmailbox@mydomain.com failed with error: Failed to get folder properties. An internal server error occurred. The operation failed., Mailbox 'Shared MAilbox' doesn't have a valid license.

the other shared mailboxes are backing up fine and do not have a license either, we are running the latest version 1.0.0.912

any help would be appreciated.

Hi Daniel,

First, welcome to the forums!

Glad to see you already have a case ID. Can you check if those 2 specific mailboxes are over 5GB in size? A shared mailbox is free, unless it grows over 5GB and then it needs a license so I assume that two of your shared ones are having that issue

And of course, please keep working with our support team. And let us know the outcome of that work

Microsoft says that shared folders can grow up until 50GB without a lic:
