Ports from Cloud Gateway to VBO?

Hello,

I've setup a tenant on the VBR server, setup a backup from the service provider side for an 0365 tenant (easy!) and got a good backup. I've then added those tenant credentials to a customer side VBR console and tried to connect to the Cloud Connect gateways but it eventually times out. I'm wondering what ports might not be listed from a cloud gateway that i have in a DMZ to the VBO and or VBR server?

Hi Eric,

From the cloud gateway, you need to connect to the CC VBR server. The O365 service needs to be installed there. The ports are in the CC documentation (https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95)

On the tenant side, when connecting with the Veeam Explorer, what user are you using to connect?

The CG is currently processing both backups and replicas from other tenants so that should all be functional. The 0365 service is installed on the SP VBR server.

Tenant Side:
The tenant created on the SP VBR server is added as a service provider
Launch the Veeam Explorer for Exchange and Add Store dropdown and select from service provider
Specify the cloud gateway in the dropdown
Credentials for the Microsoft O365 user are then entered (the ones used on the SP side to connect to the O365 tenant and perform the backup)

Error then is the open operation did not complete within the allotted timeout of 00:00:00 . ... Open timed out after 00:00:00 while establishing a transport session to net.tcp://127.0.0.1:62673/ArchiverExchangeServiceOrg/... Those are the relevant bits anyway Logs show an error connecting to the cloud gateway which again seems odd as psping to port 6180 works

One thing I'll mention is we use a wildcard SSL cert.

Eric,

That does look like it is configured and executed as it should. So please create a support call so the logs can be examined further. Let me know the case ID and outcome after the investigation

Mike,

Yes. I got a response and it was spot on. Port 9194 needs to be open between the Cloud Gateways and the server where VBR and VBO365 are installed. That port wasn't listed in the Admin guides so the engineer who helped me (Mike S) was going to follow up on that.
