Question about Public Folders

Post by kdl »

Hi Veeam gurus,

I have recently started using Veeam Backup for Office 365 (V3.0.0422) and have a question about Public Folders backup,
I hope someone may be able to help with.

We have (of course) included the Public Folder root mailbox in the backup job backing up all mail for the organization.
However, when browsing the backup with Veeam Explorer for Microsoft Exchange, I only see 3 of the top level Public Folders (out of 12).
The user used to perform backup has been assigned the Global Administrator role in the O365 tenant.
I have also tried to license the user and add the user direcly to all the public folders with Reviewer access (and ran backups after that),
but that didnt seem to change anything.

What might I have missed? :)

Quick Addendum:

I have also created a support ticket: Case #03783852

Should also have mentioned that the backup repository that holds the backup is set to Snapshot-based and Keep forever retention

Hi Kim and welcome to the Community!

Are any of the folders located under the IPM_SUBTREE?

Hi Polina,

Thank you for the warm welcome :)

Yes, I think all of them are under the IPM_SUBTREE. At least thats the indication i get when querying Exchange Online (via Powershell)
