#10: Delays when opening backup files from SMB share based backup repositories

Is there anything new about this issue? As we have quite a lot of SMB based backup still, this is important to us. I did not see anything mentioned in the latest patch note from this week.

It is clear that the issue is caused by a bug of certain SMB server implementations, so not something we can fix in our code.
In the unlikely case your storage has it, we can provide your storage vendor with the relevant information.

May be we can get rid of the problematic WinAPI call altogether in the future, but this will require some re-architecture.
