12.1 backup console new firewall port 9420 requirement
our firewall rule for v12 console to connect to veeam backup server
had ports
9392
9396
and everything worked.
after connecting to v12.1 and being prompted for the update
on connecting with the 12.1 client i get a timeout error mentioning port 9420
i allowed all traffic and the client connects fine , logs show connections to these ports (all tcp)

can you confirm if port requirements have changed ? couldnt find anything in the release notes
and i think this was the most current documentation

Same here. Have there been any changes in version 12.1 regarding the required ports for the console? Error message when starting the console is:
"A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond ip-adress-of-vbr-server:9420. Make sure the backup server you are connecting with is 12.1 version."
Port 9420 is definitely blocked in our system and has not yet been required for the console.

I have confirmed that this is an intended change in preparation for some changes in the next major release, to ensure backup consoles can still perform an automatic upgrade following its first connection to the upgraded backup server.

I wasn't able to see any port requirement for the "scan backup" task in the User Guide. Can someone verify what it may be? I attempt to do so and it hangs at 0%.

Also seeing these 9402, 9403, 9404 and so on blocked in Firewall when opening the Console.
@Veeam your port guide still doesn't mention these, can you please update what is needed, is this some sort of range?
