Hackers sometimes have access to IT environments weeks or months before encryption and regardless of other security measures might be able to gain access to Veeam via Console or PowerShell.
Therefore it would be beneficial to be able to set up mandatory 2-person-rule and notifications for critical config changes like manual backup deletion, reduction of retention or reduction of immutability time.
I´ve already discussed this with Marcel Weber @ Lenovo Expert Group DE 2023

Re: 2-person-rule & notification for critical config changes
Hello,
yes, that's an existing feature request and we count your request +1
Just a few notes : Immutability time can only be reduced for new backups and does not affect old backups. GFS backups are immutable for the entire period. The minimum immutability time on Hardened Repository is 7 days. Even if retention is lower than 7 days, this would be preserved by immutability.
Best regards,
Hannes
