2 veeam servers 1 repository folder

Hi,
May i share only 1 folder on a target nas trought 2 different veeam v6 servers?

Hi Carlo,

Yes, you can share destination folder on your repository server between different backup servers. Just make sure that jobs targeted to this repository do not overlap, otherwise you may see job performance degradation caused by concurrent load on your NAS box.

Another question is why do you even need 2 Veeam servers with v6...

Hi Gostev,
The second veeam v6 (installed on vCenterVM) is used for backup and replica the first veeam VM with VSS in case of disaster in the DR host were it is located. Naturally i backup the sql db at the end of every jobs so i need:
restart the replica on an isolated network, stop all jobs, restore the sql db and restart all jobs to continue the sequences.
That is what i did in v5 is it wrong in v6? Any suggestions?

Still valid procedure for v6. Though another approach is to use Veeam B&R to backup itself using Network mode and disabling VSS/VMware Tools queiscence (based on the fact that Veeam B&R database is not highly transactional).
