Hi all,
I'm having troubles adding an ESX (3.5) server which is somehow already in the database:
- Virtual Center is in the servers pane, all backup jobs configured via Virtual Center, so I
assume all ESX hosts are correct in the database (they are listed under Virtual Center in
the servers pane) - setup working ok
- Now I need to do a backup/restore job with Virtual Center not running - so I have to create
a new backup job attached directly to the ESX host, not Virtual Center -> ESX. So I have to
add the single ESX host in the servers pane first - this brings the message "Server already
exits in the database" and I cannot add the server
Is there (hopefully) any solution to this problem?
Peter

Re: 4.1: Add Server - error "already exists in the database"
Hello Peter,
You recieve this message cause your ESX host is already added using vCenter node, however you can add your ESX hosts as standalone using its IP address.
Thank you!
