I know this is highly unlikely, but is there any 'backdoor' way to reduce the block size in VBR?
I'd be really interested to see what impact it has on the size of the backup files we're generating. I don't really care about any hit it has on the performance of the ESXi/veeam servers.
Thanks

Re: 4k block test?
Hi Steve, no - there is no such backdoor available. But I can tell you for sure that you would see amazing impact on the size of backups, if you could do this. So, don't worry about confirming this personally

Do you think that such a feature may be added to a future release? I'm sure it would be welcomed with open arms by all Veeam enthusiasts

My product manager's magic 8 ball says "Outlook good" but when I asked what release, the reply was "Cannot predict now"
