Re: 6.5 Exchange Explorer - should it work with 6.1 backup?

Post by cgrebing »

Hi,

we also have the log-files stored at another location as most of our exchange customers have.
When I trie to restore exchange objects I also get the mesage that the database must be recovered.

if I follwow the way Tom mentioned everything is ok.

But I dont't want to tell this to my customers after they were impressed by the veeam presentation. ;-)

will this be fixed with the next patch release?

thanks
Christian

[MERGED] JetError on Exchange restore

Post by fdizone »

Case # 00154943

Hello all.

I recently upgraded from 6.1 to 6.5, and I am running into some issue when restoring Exchange items. I run Exchange 2010, and when the stores are loading, I get this error.

Code: Select all

Failed to open exchange store C:\...pukkaheadwear.edb JetError -550, JET_errDatabaseDirtyShutdown, Database was not shutdown cleanly. Recovery must be run to properly complete database operations for the previous shutdown.
Note that I ran the Explorer for Exchange beta under 6.1 without any issue, and the job itself has not changed. I have quiescing enabled.

Help please!

Thanks!
