About Wan accelerators

Post by ffuchet »

Case # 00563141

Hello,
I want to set up copy jobs between 2 sites (Optical Fibre - 6 Mbs)
Site #1 : Proxy VEEAM with 100 Go cache
Site #2 : Proxy VEEAM with 100 Go cache

Site #1 to Site #2
2 or 3 Vm's

Site #2 ti Site #1
1 VM's

Anybody can explain why the 2 caches are regulary full and my jobs can't run completly ?

Hi, caches are supposed to be full, but I don't understand the other part of your question...

Hello,

1st answer : Cache is supposed to be full. It's OK for me.
Th other part of my question is : When the cahce is full, my jobs are cancelled with this error message

"07/05/2014 18:26:41 :: Processing 'PISRV15009 - Applis' Error: Espace insuffisant sur le disque. Error code: 112

François, do you have enough free space on the disk where WAN cache is stored? Please be noted, that additional 20GB of space is required for each 1TB of source VM data. What do our support engineers say regarding this error?

Hi,

Still no clear answer for your support.

About cache and diskspace, you mean for exemple :
1 TB of VM : 80 Go for the cache on a disk of 100 Go sized ?

It means that each 1tb of data processed by backup copy job will add 20 GB to the specified size of global cache. The processed data = 1 TB => Global cache = the specified valued + additional 20 GB. Thanks.
