AD 2016 object restore

I just installed the free edition of Veeam Backup & replication to test the restore of Active Directory (AD) objects. When trying to open the NTDS.dit file from the backup file (Veeam zip) I get an error stating that the format isn't correct (JetError - 514, JET_errBadLogVersion). Is this an installation problem (i.e. do I start all over again) or is version 9 (update 2) not yet compatible with an AD on a server 2016?

Not compatible, Windows Server 2016 support is coming in 9.5 only. Active Directory specifically had some pretty major changes in Server 2016, and we spent quite some time on adding support...
