Add Backup Server to Veeam Enterprise Manager Issue

Hello,

When I want to add a Veeam Backup server in Enterprise Manager, I get the following error message:

Backup server "MYSERVER" is not upgraded to the latest version yet.

Veeam Backup Version: 5.0.1.198
Version of Enterprise Manager Service: 5.0.0.179

I use Licence Essential Plus for 6 socket and I have 4 socket in use.

Any idea to solve this problem?

Hello,

You have upgraded B&R to 5.0.1, however, Enterprise Manager is still 5.0. Please upgrade this component to 5.0.1, too.

Thank you for your feedback.

I just did the upgrade to Veeam Enterprise Manager and I could connect my backup servers now.

Just a point to note, you must uninstall the old version of Veeam Enterprise, restart the server and do the update. Otherwise you get the error message : "Error 1923: Service [service] could not be Installed. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to install system services".

Please make sure that you are under local admin account when installing B&R components - in this case one shouldn't get any messages about insufficient privileges.

Hi,

I tried with an AD account which is administrator of this server and with local administrator account and I got the same problem.
Veeam B & R is installed on a Windows 2008 R2, perhaps it's related to this OS.

I ran into the same issue with the Error 1923 message, also using Server 2008 R2. Enterprise Manager was already uninstalled as part of the failed upgrade, so a reboot fixed the issue. It certainly looks to be OS related, I didn't get the error when I upgraded it on 2003 R2 x86, different installers though and I don't have a 2003 R2 x64 box to test with.
