Advice on recovering our Exchange Server?
Hi All
I'm in the middle of trying to restore our Exchange 2010 server. Yesterday at around 2pm our main mailstore started to get corruption. We are not sure why but we think its due to the size (1.3TB). We created two new mailstores, started migrating mailboxes but it stopped after migrating one mailbox, then the mailstore just failed.
Now I can't even mount the mailstore and ESEUTIL /R fails at 99%
My current plan is to restore from Thursday nights backup to get it running again. I'm currently running a full backup as our second mailstore with around 20% of the users is fine.
Should I just restore the whole Thursday night backup and then use Veeam to restore the items from the 'good' database backup?
Any help or pointers would be appreciated.
Cheers, Shane

Re: Advice on recovering our Exchange Server?
Just an update
Restore worked and we have a backup of the system before we restored.
We are currently moving mailboxes from the large mailstore into two new mailstores.
Is there a way to open up the backup we took from before the restore and tell veeam to restore items in the last 3 days that do not appear on the current live system?
Regards, Shane

Shane, I didn`t get the question.
Since you have already restored the whole Thursday`s backup why do you need to restore not changed items?

Yes, you can restore all the missing and changed items via Veeam Explorer for Exchange.
