I am using app-aware processing to do SQL Server full and log backups. I can successfully restore a database in Veeam. However, after the restore is complete, log backups on that database fail. I expect this as the log chain has been broken. However, I expect them log backups to fail until the next Full database backup, which we have set to run nightly. I am still looking for patterns, but so far, I think the log backups fail until the next ACTIVE FULL backup within Veeam, which we have set to weekly.
Could I have something configured incorrectly? Since the nightly full backup in Veeam appears as a Full backup from a SQL Server perspective, shouldn't that be enough to reset the log chain?

Re: [SQL] After restore, log backups fail until ACTIVE FULL
Any image-level backup at all should do (including incremental).

That was my understanding as well. If this continues to give me errors, I will submit a ticket. Thanks!
