Anti-Virus Scanning in SureBackup with McAfee VSE - XML config available?
Has anyone created a AntivirusInfos.xml configuration with McAfee products in use for the Virus and Malware scanning in SureBackup/Secure Restore?
We are using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise products in our environment.
Or I should just failover to use Windows Defender?
Thoughts and recommendations welcome.
Thanks

Stuart,
Was not tested in our lab, but I do remember that McAfee actually has cmd tool, so it might work. You can update the xml file on the Veeam mount server with needed details (i.e path to cmd, regpath, service name etc) and share the result with us.
Detailed instructions in this article Antivirus XML Configuration File
Cheers!

@stuart_little1874
Apologies, I did not get any further with this as our company was looking to move to another AV vendor.

Hello Stuart,
Thanks for the heads up and sorry to hear it. To make sure you are aware: the list of preconfigured vendors for Secure Restore. Cheers!

Hello,
I found an internal post, that states the following (the path has to be inserted manually)
Best regards,
Hannes

Maybe it helps somebodyThere is no CLI option with McAfee Endpoint Security 10. The McAfee VirusScan Enterprise is the one with CLI support and tested successfully with SecureBackup.
This was the AntivirusInfos.xml config used:
