Application aware processing and SQL Express

Post by jcofin13 »

Is it supported to backup SQL express and use application aware processing to truncate the logs like it is with a normal sql server?

I have reviewed the permissions per the kb article and i still get warnings on the job that it cant seem to truncate the logs for this instance. I do believe im getting a crash consistent backup but id like to stop getting the warnings on my job.

Hello

Yes, it's supported.

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... plications
All editions of Microsoft SQL Server are supported.
Please also check the permissions from our user guide for processing MSSQL:

If you still can see permission warnings, I suggest to open a support case and let our customer support handle the issue.

Best,
