Atlantis HyperScale

Post by singy2002 »

Hi,
I have a potential opportunity to deploy Atlantis HyperScale for a new client and have been wondering how other partners deploy backups.

Unlike Simplivity which comes with backup and replication within the system Atlantis as far as i can see does not.

Does anyone have any experience with backing up Atlantis using Veeam, we would like to continue to use Veeam as it fits in with our DR offering.

Hi,

Since Veeam uses vSphere API to retrieve data it does not matter what's the hardware beneath the hypervisor. Also please note that Veeam does not support backup of Citrix-based VMs via snapshot - you should use either Veeam physical backup solution, or File Copy job (does not provide consistency).

Thank you.

Citrix as in running on a citrix based hypervisor of course! I don't know if they support using our direct NFS transport to their datastores though.

The solution will be VMware based, so no concern around Xenserver.

The solution will be VMware based
Then I expect no issues with backup deployment.

Thank you.
