I found https://www.veeam.com/kb4047 which is about support for Azure Stack HCI. Not only restore but backup too.
What about Azure Stack Hub, the "old" Azure Stack? Are we stuck with agents and/or tenant-local VBR servers?

It cannot be backed up via Hyper-V backup jobs, so, yes, usage of agents is still necessary. Thanks!
