Greetings,
I have a quite stubborn problem with one of my Backups. Some Infos:
Community Edition
Backup Targets are multiple USB Harddrives
Problem is since v12.1
The Problem: Every Backup is at Warning because Veeam couldn't update the Catalog Files on the usb. The PubCommands.txt File is missing and the complete Upload folder is empty.
I've tried to clone the backup in Veeam and formatted every USB Drive. Same warning.
I've build a complete new Backup from scratch with new ore formatted USB Drives. Same warning.
Do I have to deinstall and reinstall Veeam for a new Catalog or is there another way to reinitialize the Catalog from scratch.
Thx a lot
Bratacc

Re: B&R 12.3 Failed to update catalog manager with the data published
Hi Christian,
Sorry to hear about the troubles. I would advise open a Support Case even with community edition -- while Community Edition gets support on a "best effort" basis, for all technical issues, a Support Case is required regardless of edition.
As for the issue, it's a bit unclear for me why you're getting a warning, so a Support case is really the way to go. You can try moving the VBRCatalog as per this KB article -- just for avoidance of doubt, ensure the VBRCatalog is targeting a location on a non-removable volume (i.e., don't place it on a removal USB drive volume, use like C:\VBRCatalog), but I'm not confident it will help based on the description.
Addendum (Edit:) As my colleague @Mildur also pointed out, since it's about Guest Indexing and you have Community Edition, consider disabling Guest Indexing, as with Community Edition there is no benefit for enabling this option.
