B&R 13 Export Backups to Share not working

After upgrading to v13 export backup to fileshare no longer working. If i specify a Network location in the folder field, i get the error "Unable to use shared paths for export". In v12 this never was a problem. In the Userguide this function should work also in v13 https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/u ... arget.html. What am I missing here? It is not an option to export the backups to an veeam repository for me.

Hello Tobias,

Unfortunately, this behavior is expected. We cannot ensure the security of the data transmission when using a pure SMB or NFS stack, so starting with v13, it is mandatory to add the export location as a repository object. Thank you!

Thank you for your reply, even though I don't like it. I'm considering how to deal with the discontinuation of this feature.
