Hello,
My customer has infrastructure in Azure and we intend to use B&R to back up the VMs (using Azure plugin). We would then like to do backup copy to another repository. Is it possible to point the copies to Cloud Connect storage? Documentation only mentions "on premise".
If so, is it possible to restore directly from Cloud Connect to Azure? Customer still has Windows Server 2008 VMs and these are no longer possible to create within Azure; also good old BMR isn't supported due to no booting of VM from ISO.

It is possible to backup to Cloud Connect but it is not possible to restore from Cloud Connect to Azure directly.

Thanks, is there a way to perform a restore from CC at all? perhaps multi-step one?

Only if you import this backup to another VBR server and then run the restore.
