Hi,
I appreciate that this is a pretty basic question but is there a 'preferred' location for the Veeam B&R database? I'll be performing an update to our existing installation (currently using a local DB) and was after some views as to whether I should move the DB to our SQL cluster rather than keeping it on the local server.
We are performing daily config backups so does it matter?
Thanks.

Re: B&R Installation - local SQL DB or SQL server?
Hello Craig,
Having remote or local SQL server does not matter much, as it only stores configuration data, no "heavy lifting" operations like in Veeam ONE are performed. Keep the existing config if it meets your needs.
Thank you!

If you put it on a separate server you're then dependent on that server being up for restores, which may or may not be the case in a DR scenario

Good point, however we do recommend creating configuration backup of the database all the time.
