B&R RPO ?

Post by dingonono »

Hi guys,

I wondered, which is the min RPO we could have with a Veeam Backup & Replication solution ?

Replication job could be set as "continuous" but, which is the RPO for this config ? 0 ? fews minutes ?

Thanks for reply.

Regards.

During continuous replication, each subsequent job run will start on completion of the previous job run, so the RPO will be equal to the time required to complete a job (which depends on the number of VMs in it, amount of changes produced by VMs, etc.).

Hi,

Thanks for quick reply.
So if my customer have 20 Vms running for a total of 2To of storage, which can be the RPO ?
Into the 20 Vm i have 1 Oracle Server.

Thanks

Nobody can predict that. There's no "typical" job speed metrics so that you could calculate the RPO based on the VMs size, everything depends on the particular environment, the way Veeam B&R is deployed, etc., there are really a big number of different effective factors. You need to try first to find out the amount of changes generated by these VMs between the job cycles and the time required to process them.
