Hi,
We are running IBM clearcase vobs on RHEL VMs. How can we back them up using pre-post scripts to get an application consistent.

Re: Backing up IBM Clearcase vobs Linux VMs
Hi,
In order to have consistent VOB backups, you have to lock the ClearCase repositories prior backup procedure. After the backup you have to unlock them. If you are not sure how to do that properly please contact your ClearCase administrator or IBM technical support. Also these links might be useful:
- Oracle - Backing Up a ClearCase VOB
- IBM - ClearCase backup example
Thanks
